Floqu Privacy Policy

Floqu is a product operated by Locase Pty Ltd (ABN 12 655 785 658), based in Victoria, Australia. References to “we”, “our”, or “us” mean Locase Pty Ltd trading as Floqu.

1. What we collect and why

Identity and access

When you create a Floqu account, we collect your name, email address, and optional profile photo. This allows you to log in securely, identify team members within your workspace, and receive important account-related information.

We may also send you product updates, onboarding messages, or occasional feedback surveys. You can opt out of non-essential emails at any time.

Workspace and project data

Floqu stores information you and your team add to your account—such as workspace names, projects, tasks, and checklists—so you can use the platform as intended.

Uploaded files

If you upload images or other files, they are stored securely in Supabase storage and remain private to your account and authorised team members.

Billing information

If you choose a paid plan, payments are processed by Stripe. Floqu itself never stores or has access to your full credit-card details. We only retain minimal transaction records (e.g. billing address and last four digits) for invoicing and tax compliance.

Analytics and performance

• Fathom analytics is used only on our public marketing site (floqu.com). It is privacy-focused, cookie-free, and collects anonymous usage data such as page views and referrers to help us improve the site.
• Sentry is used within the Floqu app (app.floqu.com) to monitor errors and performance. It helps us detect bugs and stability issues but does not track individual user behaviour for marketing.

We do not run advertising or retargeting scripts.

2. How we use and share information

We use your information only to operate and improve Floqu. Specifically:

• To provide and maintain your account and projects.
• To process payments and issue invoices.
• To respond to support requests and communicate about updates or security issues.
• To maintain application stability and investigate errors (via Sentry).

We may share limited information with trusted subprocessors who assist in operating Floqu, including:

• Supabase (database, file storage)
• Vercel (hosting and delivery)
• Stripe (payments)
• Fathom (analytics for marketing site)
• Sentry (error tracking)

Each of these providers has its own privacy and security policies and complies with industry standards for data protection.

We do not disclose your personal data to third parties except:

• when required by Australian law or a valid legal request, or
• when you explicitly authorise integration with another service.

3. Data storage and location

Floqu’s infrastructure is hosted on:

• Supabase (region: ap-southeast-1, Singapore)
• Vercel, which distributes content globally with primary servers in the United States.

Data may therefore be processed outside Australia. Both providers use secure, industry-standard encryption and comply with applicable data-transfer safeguards.

4. Data retention and deletion

We retain your data only for as long as necessary to operate your account.

• When you delete your account, your data is permanently deleted from active databases immediately.
• Supabase may retain short-term backups for disaster-recovery purposes, which are automatically purged according to their internal retention policy (typically within 30–60 days).

5. How we protect your information

We take data security seriously:

• All data is encrypted in transit via HTTPS (TLS).
• Supabase encrypts data at rest.
• Access to production systems is restricted to authorised personnel only.
• Regular monitoring and error detection are performed using Sentry.

If we ever become aware of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

6. Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:

• Access personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate or outdated information.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Withdraw consent for non-essential communications.

To exercise any of these rights, contact support@floqu.com. We may need to verify your identity before processing requests.

7. Data transfers outside Australia

Because Floqu’s infrastructure and subprocessors operate internationally, your data may be transferred to and processed in other countries (including Singapore and the United States). We take reasonable steps to ensure these transfers comply with Australian privacy law and that your information receives equivalent protection.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for legal reasons. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates the most recent version. Significant updates will be announced within the app or via email.
