2. Templates
Overview
Templates are the starting point for every project in Floqu.
They’re pre-built kanban boards that reflect real Webflow workflows — so instead of creating your process from scratch, you can begin with a solid foundation.
Floqu includes a few example templates such as:
- Full Design & Development – covers the complete Webflow project lifecycle
- Webflow Build Only – for projects where design is provided externally
- Ecommerce Website – adds product setup and checkout-specific stages

Templates form the basis of your Project boards.
When you create a new project, you’ll select a template — and Floqu will instantly generate a kanban board with stages, tasks, and checklists pre-filled.
The idea is to curate and adapt these templates to fit your own process.
You can:
- Adjust the stages to match your agency’s workflow
- Refine task checklists and naming conventions
- Share your updated templates with your team so everyone follows the same process

Once you have a solid base template, you might duplicate it to create variations — for example:
- Landing Page Build (simplified version)
- Retainer / Maintenance (for ongoing work)
Managing Templates
You can edit and organise your templates at any time.
- Rename a template – Click the template name at the top and update it inline.
- Edit tasks or checklists – Open any stage, modify task cards, add or remove subtasks.
- Duplicate a template – Use “Duplicate” from the template menu to create a new version for testing or variation.
- Delete a template – Select “Delete” from the same menu if you no longer need it. (Note: this can’t be undone.)
Creating Custom Templates
You can also create your own templates from scratch.
Start by adding a new template, name it, and build your stages manually.
Each template consists of two layers:
- Stages – e.g. Discovery, Design, Build, QA, Launch. These define your workflow.
- Status columns – e.g. To Do, In Progress, Done. These are default in templates and can’t be customised yet — but once you create a project from that template, you’ll be able to edit them there.
By building a few reusable templates that match your studio’s process, you can keep every project consistent — while still allowing flexibility inside each one.
