4. Tasks
Creating Tasks
Tasks are the core of your project boards.
You can create them in two ways:
- Quick Create – Add a new task directly inside any column by typing a title and pressing Enter.
- Detailed Create – Click a task to open the detail view and add descriptions, due dates, assignees, and more.
Task Details
Each task card contains everything you need to track progress and context.
- Name & Description – Add a clear title and use rich text (bold, links, bullet lists) in the description.
- Status vs Stage – Stage = where the task sits in your workflow (e.g. Design, Build). Status = its current progress (To Do, In Progress, Done).
- Assignees – Assign tasks to team members so everyone knows their responsibilities.
- Priority Levels – Pin high priority tasks
- Labels/Tags – Add quick colour-coded labels like Client Feedback or QA for easy filtering..
Sub-tasks (Checklists)
Break complex work into smaller, actionable steps inside a task card.
Sub-tasks appear as a checklist — tick them off as you go.
Attachments
Add files directly to tasks to keep all relevant assets in one place.
- Upload files – Drag and drop files onto the attachments area, or click to browse. Supports images, PDFs, documents, spreadsheets, and more (up to 50MB per file).
- Preview & Download – Images show thumbnails inline. Click any attachment to open or download it.
- Remove files – Use the menu on each attachment to remove it when no longer needed.
Cover Images
Make tasks visually scannable on your kanban board by setting a cover image.
- From any image attachment, click the menu and select Make cover image.
- The image will display at the top of the task card on the kanban board.
- To remove, click the menu on the attachment and select Remove as cover.
Cover images help you quickly identify tasks at a glance — useful for design work, client assets, or any visual-heavy projects.
Comments & Activity
Each task has its own discussion thread where you can share updates, links, and files.
Use comments to keep all communication tied to the work — no need to chase Slack threads.
Mentions
Tag team members using @username to notify them in comments or descriptions.
Mentioned users receive an in-app and email notification.
Moving Tasks
Update progress visually by dragging cards across columns or stages.
You can also change status or stage directly from the task dropdown.
